This is the perfect wool for the killer bug classic Grayling pattern from nymph expert and legendary river keeper Frank Sawyer. This fly pattern still doesn’t disappoint, but if you follow Sawyer’s tying instruction, the killer or (grayling) bug as it was originally named, could and should only be tied with one brand and shade of wool, Chadwick’s No 477. At Semperfli we have a card of the original Chadwicks 477 which we used a blend of wools to match dry and particularly wet with our substitute as we developed it. Now this is one of the most accurate Chadwicks 477 substitutes available. Remember the Killer bug pattern that may be one of the most simple flies ever tied, tie it with Semperfli Chadwicks 477 Substitute!

I was disappointed with colour of this wire as in my opinion it was more of a copper colour than the light gold as described. Apart from the colour the wire seems fine

Problem with other makes of Flex or Flexi Floss is that they are sold in cut lengths. UNI FLEXX FLOSS is packaged on a spool of 15 yards, so I can cut long lengths to suit the flies I'm tying. The Red Flexx Floss is just the right colour I was looking for. Great product, good price and speedy delivery from the essentially, thanks guys😊
