This fly is designed by Peter Deane. He is reputed to have names this pattern after a the hill Cilmstock Beacon which dominates the valley of the River Culm. The Beacon Beige is a great fly with excellent floating properties and a high degree of visibility.

Although I have not yet had a chance to use these flies (nothing rising) I found the service excellent and the flies tied very well. I shall be purchasing some mays very shortly.

Neatly tied and imitates a number of insects due to the good colour and shape. I bought in size 18 but will buy again in other sizes.
