Blobs including patterns like Fab Tequila Sunrise have become a mainstay of UK stillwater fly fishing, love them or hate them! Effective on stocked fisheries Fab Tequila Sunrise can be used suspended below an indicator or bung. Fab Tequila Sunrise also are able to be fished with floatant 'bottom-up', use a short leader (often as little as 2 or 3 feet) on a sinking line. A short retrieve of the Fab Tequila Sunrise will cause it to dive when retrieve then raise again in the water. Best fished dlow but occassional sharp figure of 8 retrieves can trigger trout attacks.
Key to fishing blobs is to learn the 'hang' suspending a static or extremely slow moving blob which can work with spooky or fish that are under heavy fishing pressure.
