Brown Trout Dry Flies
Natural Brown trout rise regularly to dry flies when they are emerging. Brown trout will take caddisflies or sedges, olives (of which there are many variations including Large Dark Olive, Medium Olive and Blue Winged Olives), midges, caenis, Pale Watery Duns, Iron Blue Duns, and the favorite from Duffers fortnight of course the Mayfly. When flies are hatching it is important to match the hatch, so use our monthly hatch charts to check what is emerging currently.
