Superbly Tied Trout Lures & Streamer Flies

Trout lures & streamers are attractor fly fishing patterns frequently used for Brown & Rainbow Trout. Lures range from Blobs to Nomads. We have supplied fly fishermen worldwide, check & see why

Often shaped like fish with that long thin profile trout lures and streamer flies are a key part of many fly fisherman's armoury. You will primarily see trout lures used on lakes and reservoirs. Some trout lures are attractor patterns they may not even resemble any fish, fly or invertebrate found in the water. Attractors for example lures for trout fishing like Consett Budgie for example are intended to trigger a Rainbow Trout's predatory nature with its' colour white, yellow and orange it works well on changing light conditions as clouds move across the sky, it may be perceived to be a small fry. Other attractors like nomads are considered to imitate fish or leaches or other things depending who you speak to. Attractor fly lure patterns like Blobs or Foam Arsed Blobs imitate potentially an egg but their are no eggs of this size and colour in our waters! However their bright colours do stimulate bites, remember however a black blob works stunningly well as dusk arrives. With fishing trout lures we will often simply strip them rapidly to make trout think the lure or streamer is food getting away from them. Check our huge range of lures and streamers for trout.

What are Trout Streamer Flies?

Simply a streamer fly imitates a fish and has lots of movement.

What Technique Do I Use For Fishing Trout Lures & Streamers

Cast into the margins where small fish hide and retrieve rapidly then pause. Often the pause, hanging the lure then moving it again can cause a strike. Stripping lures rapidly so that trout do not have time to think, only time to react to what appears to be a large piece of protein is the method used on many still waters.
