Rabbit Fry by Magnus Nygren. 3rd place in the Fly Tying Masters Round 2. What a great little pattern from Magnus Nygren again this month. This is a fabulous fry imitation. It the pattern that no angler should be without this season if heading out to target fry feeders - it really is that good.

It may not look the best imitation, but it doesn't have to, because the impression this extremely well thought out pattern gives of a small fish is scary. The rabbit strip has been cut to a taper that looks just like the body of a fry and with the discreet trigger points of orange dubbing and fins it's a real winner. The head finishes the shape perfectly and will create disturbance if pulling the fly - just add floatant.

It is a great style of pattern to try for sea trout also!

I was disappointed with colour of this wire as in my opinion it was more of a copper colour than the light gold as described. Apart from the colour the wire seems fine

Problem with other makes of Flex or Flexi Floss is that they are sold in cut lengths. UNI FLEXX FLOSS is packaged on a spool of 15 yards, so I can cut long lengths to suit the flies I'm tying. The Red Flexx Floss is just the right colour I was looking for. Great product, good price and speedy delivery from the essentially, thanks guys😊
